Beautiful! I remember FJL's rants here and on some other police blogs all too well. Though her inane rhetoric her was by no means criminal here, it was threatening and she certainly bore all the hallmarks of a bully. Couldn't happen to a nicer person, as they say.
 

I enjoyed the comments people had left on the Times article - they seem to be divided between people who think FJL has a right to say what she likes because she's in cyberspace, and others who think she is a nutty blogger. She has obviously subject that poor Rachel to a tirade of evil and nastiness that has affected her sufficiently to contact the police - I'm sure she is an intelligent woman who would've ignored all her rubbish until she started getting personal and making her fear for her safety. Therefore quite right that police have gone to the lengths of securing a charge, let alone a conviction.
With that in mind, and the number of crap jobs I get wanged my way....i.e

"Caller is reporting her 12 year old daughter Kayleigh/Candice/Shaznay (interchangable) has been receiving abusive messages via MSN messenger and accused her of being a slag. Daughter has kept messages on computer. Caller would like to speak to an officer about this..."

...I suspect that the decision to proceed with a prosecution was in no small way influenced by the IP's profile as being a survivor of such a high profile terror attack, in these sensitive political climes.
Had she not been, I cannot help wonder whether CPS would have found a way to flick this job into the waste paper basket after rolling it between their fingers like every other online harrassment jobbie I've ever had, and give you the old "no RPOC/not in public interest" excuse. And to be fair, all of the 'cyber Section 5' jobs we deal with are utter dogshit and a waste of taxpayers money.

On the flipside, it definately sounds like FJL needs a quiet padded cell with no access to broadband..

Maybe you should indeed have reported FJL to your local Constabulary, Dave.
That might have been a hallmark case aswell, where they prosecute her on behalf of a victim using a pseudonym..? You could have appeared via videolink and expressed distress and alarm, aswell as gratitude and surprise that the job had made it home!

I am sure I must have posted a provocative comment in response to her nuttiness - I love a bit of sport. Maybe our joshing drove her to the brink (yeah, I am already trying to weave this into a good pub yarn!).

Oh, on the subject of the honourable judge, DC - I also read in the Times that all and sundry (with the possible of the judge himself) were keen to praise the woman in question for her absolute honesty and steady performance in court...So, keep your eyes peeled, Peelers - I am not entirely convinced we have heard the last of the honourable judge :)

How does the "BTP got the detection" thing work then?

If they meet their targets by arresting someone without bothering to build a case, is there anything left in the system to encourage them to make sure the criminals go to jail after they're arrested, or is that someone elses problem?

Actually, come to think of it, I'm going to rather miss the nut in question - as I sit at my laptop/PC attempting to work, it is blessed relief to click on my browser and spar with a certified loon on your blog, DC. But, I haven't seen a post from a truly certifiable loon in quite a while. Shame...

Perhaps the nut in question can perform part of her sentence as community service in the form of posting here and keeping us all entertained.

I like her phrase "[attempt to] pervert the course of history". I thought for a second that she meant "justice", but after some further reading it's clear that what she really meant was "destiny", specifically hers.

These people make it very difficult to post to their blogs. I guess voices raised in disagreement are not what they want to hear.
 

As an officer who not only has met FJL but was on one of the warrants at her H/A I would love to comment but cannot. I have read her blogs and seen her declarations of what I did wrong, but of course remain tight lipped.

Oh Lord DC - have just read some of FJL's postings. One of the most worrying aspects of these posts is that people actually comment how good they are....must be more nutters about than even I thought.

For some reason I don't mind dealing with people like this. Like Charlie Lima's said in his blog, it's the ones who are supposed to be more intelligent that give me the hump.

WHY DO PEOPLE PUT UP WITH ABUSE?

That is one of lifes biggest mysteries, however I have not, and never will. But it is hard to break away when you truly love someone, even if they are mean. It can be like a moth to a flame, which might actually be my current 'problem'!

My life of abuse started as an infant, sexually abused by my godfather who was a vice cop. He shared me with his 'friends' in the force and judiciary, plus a shrink. I was raped to death at the age of 4 years old and revived. Yes, I died and went to Heaven, where I received instructions as to what I had to do to stop the abuse of children, defeat Satan and stop him destroying the world. Is this where people start calling me a 'loony'? You might be right, as I've had nothing but insults and abuse for my trouble. Trouble is actually a bit of an understatement.

I was thrashed repeatedly by my mother when I told her what had happened. She said that I was 'wicked' for saying such terrible things about my 'nice, kind' godfather, because he was a respected policeman and would not do such a thing. [Oh really!]

To cut a long story as short as I can, he and his 'friends' were devious and very dangerous. I tried many times to get out of his clutches. I offended his pervert judicial pals at the age of 6 years old. I refused to 'bow down' before Satan, recited the Lords prayer over and over, which made him violently sick. I told them that they were a bunch of perverts and what they were doing was against the law - I was NOT going there again. They wanted me dead, but killed my half sister instead.

They tried to blame my father, but failed. 6 months later godfather was back again, and unbelievably my mother agreed to him taking me out in the car despite my refusal.
He abducted a child, raped and killed her and then tried to kill me. I had to fight for my life 3 times that day. I was helped by the spirit/soul of my sister and strong faith in Jesus Christ and the Angels.

Rescued by my father in the nick of time, only to be treated with disbelief the next day. Couldn't speak on the night.
Thrashed with a belt by my mother for telling the truth of what had happened, I fought with her to stop her beating the living daylights out of me. Ended up at my nan's because I was being 'difficult'- not taking the crap from her. Godfather had told lies and labelled me the 'naughty' girl. Bas***d.
Blamed by police in the press for disappearance of the girl he killed. Big manhunt. WW2 ex forces special branch contact informed by a family member who did believe me.
Home office organised a plan of action to deal with Satan. YES, he DID exist, 666 birthmark on the top of his head.
Plan of 'action' flawed beyond belief - got ME given a very hard time, thwarted, slandered and plotted against.
Second WW2 special forces cop contacted - another plan of action - me to go undercover as a Sheriff. Job done December 24th 2004, covered up by GOVERNMENT, who have I suspect purloined Beast's wealth, of which I was to receive a share. Breach of contract and a disgrace all round, and this is only half of it!
I have stood 'alone' under seige from negative forces all my life, alone except for my guardian angel.
No, I refuse to take abuse. :)

Well well, I live and learn something new every day. Alice has taught me that Specials do 'undercover' work - where I come from, though Specials may do an occasional obbo in plain clothes, they don't do covert work at all, in fact I don't know of any Specials who are qualifed to call themselves 'detective constable' and, as far as I recall, officers, whether Specials or not, are definitely NOT Sheriffs, except in parts of the US. No doubt someone, somewhere can tell me it's different in their part of the UK.
 

Alice, don't know how you got out, but the good folks at the nut 'ouse will be looking for you, so you'd best turn yourself in...

Quaser. On second thoughts, what I can tell you, is that I was not the only victim of the judge. He was a high court judge in fact, and a Lord. He was a very cruel B*****D and utterly ruthless, which is why his victims were powerless against him and his pervert mates. He was a hanging judge who was quite prepared to get his perv mates to stitch up the parents of any child who would not comply or keep quiet.

One brave victim was Chris Jons, who with the backing of his brothers, who were also victims of the abuse, made the first challenge in the 90's. He was one of the main witnesses in the North Wales child abuse enquiry, who also named PC 666,Mr Beast. Chris and his brothers did not survive, nor did his father, having bravely spoken out in the press. The Beast slandered Chris Jons and his family. His death was passed off as suicide, but he DID NOT kill himself. He was got at via prescription medication for depression, poor guy. He told the truth, which was documented by the press and I think ITV. He was a very, very brave soul who deserves much respect for wanting to take the first crack at nailing the paedophiles in positions of authority. R.I.P. Chris Jons, Jay, Adrian and their father.

I believe Lowde has also been made subject to a 5 year ASBO and a Restraining Order, no doubt to stop her from using the Internet and to stop her from contacting the victim in any way.

I am trying to ascertain the full details, and as these matters are in the public domain, and HO guidance on ASBO publicity is to publish ASBO details where it is proportionate and ehtical to do so, I'll drop Dave a line.

NB Alice - although some responses to you on this forum may fall below the standard expected, it is behaviour such as yours that landed FJL where she is now. The web is not as anonymous as people think.
 

PS; it seems that the ASBO prevents Lowde from contacting in any way certain named persons, but she may still use the internet.

Spartacus. Which particular "Alice" are you referring to? The silly and spiteful people who tried to discredit Her Majesty's Sheriff? Surely not the Sheriff who did a unique special job, which she deserves some praise for.
 

Spartacus. It's really quite shameful for a man and particularly a copper, to actually blame the victim of abuse for the disrespect shown to her. H.M's Sheriff brought NONE of this crap upon herself. Standing up to bullies who slander and discredit an officer of the special constabulary is justified right action. You insult H.M's Sheriff by comparing her to a convicted stalker. Shame on you.
